Moral Crisis and Our Uneducated Culture

The enjoyed viral content and comment section on facebook and other social media platform shows us a picture of a collective uneducated culture of which we all are a part of. Uneducated culture does not refers to the lack of universities or number of graduates in the society. We still ask ourselves the same question that now I have acquired all the degrees and certificates am I a different person? The answer does not lie in the number of degrees and medals.

Our society has become inhumane in terms of morality. What we lack is basic good manners. We don’t know how to meet, greet, ask for permission, say thank you and most importantly apologize when we have done wrong. The point is decency does not cost a dime. The language spoken by us in the universities, schools and other institution is full of abusive words and the sad part is that we see it as an ordinary thing. The kind of content that we immensely enjoy online is highly controversial which includes the leaked videos of celebrities or something so meaningless for example a random person aggressively abusing somebody. A person feels left out if he not exposed to the latest immoral viral content. Such is the height of moral crisis in our society.

We must ask ourselves “Do true friends really have to abuse each other in order to prove that they are best friends, is there no other way?”

FUN FACT : IF YOU WANT SOCIETY TO MAKE FUN OF YOU JUST ‘ACT SERIOUSLY AND TALK SENSE’ THEY WILL MAKE FUN OF YOU!

Pakistan, social destruction, social media campaign, morals, moral crisis, crisis

We live in a strange time where decency and moral values are a thing of the past. We must question ourselves are we going in the right direction? Do we want our future generations to be the part of same uneducated cultures or do we want to bring a change? Such change can only occur if we bring change to ourselves by developing traits like kindness, tolerance and other good qualities to develop a sound character for the future.
